Austin, Texas is a welcome home to live music and Lesli Wood. When this folk-singer and songwriter released
her debut album in 1998, she garnered appreciation from long-time fans and expressions of pleasant surprise from
those hearing her music for the first time. Her music weaves together personal experiences of a freewheeling youth
spent in the hills of Arkansas and travel to far lands, with the backyard commonality of flea infestation and
fall foliage. Witty and unpretentious, Lesli's on-stage performance is as equally entertaining as her music.
She turns any musical event into a humorous romp through life.
"...(Lesli) has an incredibly melodic voice and great material, but her show is as much what
happens between songs as the songs themselves." — Kirt Kempter, Austin producer and performer.
"...Great images with new twists..." — Polk Shelton, Austin singer-songwriter.
Lesli's music is a mix of folk, rock and country. She enjoys experimenting with new melodies and those often
lead in new directions that defy her being placed in a specific genre. No point in being in the box. Try out some
tunes and see what you like.
